Ground Source
Heat Pumps
The ultimate in renewable heating efficiency. Harness the constant temperature of the earth to heat your home silently and cost-effectively.
Unrivalled Efficiency
Ground source heat pumps use pipes buried in your garden to extract heat from the ground. Because the ground maintains a constant temperature of around 10°C year-round, these systems are incredibly efficient, even in the depths of winter.
They are the perfect solution for properties with available land, offering the lowest running costs of any heating system.
- Highest possible efficiency (often over 400%)
- No visible outdoor unit or fan noise
- Extremely long lifespan (ground loops last 50+ years)
- Lowest running costs compared to any other fuel
- Eligible for the £7,500 Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Installation Options
Horizontal Trenches
The most common and cost-effective method if you have plenty of land. Pipes are laid in shallow trenches across a large area of your garden.
Vertical Boreholes
Ideal for smaller gardens. Deep holes (up to 100m) are drilled straight down into the earth. Costs more upfront but requires minimal surface space.
